Training Objectives
- To train all Officer Cadets of General Duties (Pilot) – GD(P) Branch for onward training in the operational aircraft.
- To prepare each Officer Cadets as a future leader of Bangladesh Air Force with highest degree of duty honour and patriotism.
- To inculcate highest degree of human qualities; ethical and traditional values.
- To educate each Officer Cadets as a knowledgeable University graduate for academic proficiency.
- To inspire different faculties of mind of the Officer Cadets through auxiliary training, hobbies club, extra-curricular activities etc in an open minded and technology oriented environment.
- To build up a professional foundation amongst the Officer Cadets of all branches to meet contemporary and future challenges.
- To inculcate the spirit of Air Force tradition, leadership, character building through an “Honor code”.
Selection Procedure
Any legitimate Bangladeshi national male or female with requisite educational qualification,
height, weight and age can apply for recruitment which is conducted round the year at
Information & Selection Center, Tejgaon, Dhaka.
Types of Training
The training program in BAFA is tailored according to the need of today’s world comprising subjects of diverse specialties. The duration of training for all Officer Cadet is three years, which include ten weeks joint service training with Bangladesh Army and Bangladesh Navy at Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA). To undertake these diverse training activities in smooth and efficient manner, the Academy is organized in a three prong structure with Flying, Academic and Cadets Training Wing.
